Badge workshops were a variety of activities that helped prepare the students for the Camp Synergy Camp-Out. These activities ranged from creating chants, camp clean-up, creating campfire stories, basic first aid, and the science of s'mores.

Monarch Waystation and Butterfly Garden was created two years ago. It is an ongoing project and perfect to increase interest and rigor in our fourth grade curriculum.

The focus of the beginning of the year was to build a strong culture of empathy, compassion, independence, interdendence, and confidence. Camp Synergy is what the fourth grade team called it.

 

Our City of Commons

EQ: How do the member of our community practice the High Tech High Five (Good Character Traits)?

First graders took on the adventure of learning about their community around them.  They built a large scale city in our commons area after learning; how to use basic mapping skills, who were some of the major local community members, diving into good character traits and finally creating videos with those community member on how they practiced those character traits.
